Can i skip the examination and reapply?

Help me out guys!
Am lil dislocated.
My eligibility menses (extended) for step1 ends this march 31st.
Only my preparation is not really that good.
Am i allowed to cancel now and take the exam after, i mean later the eligibility menses?
Whats the procedure?

i don't know if i got it right from your explanation, but here is what i know:

when you aplly for a certain examination(pace 1, step 2 CK, etc) you take to choose a iii months menstruation when you have to take your examination; if in this period you are not ready to take the exam, yous tin extend the eligibility period for another 3 months which FOLLOWS the initial iii months; in this 3 months period you accept to give the exam(i remember this is where you are correct now); if yous volition be not set up for the exam by 31st of march and you already accept extended the eligibility period, you have only ii options:

ane. accept the exam by the terminate of march even though you are not fully prepared.
two. don't have the exam; in this case you lot volition lose those 740$(or how much you lot payed for the step examination) and you will need to reaply for some other iii months eligibility period which ways some other test fee;

bottom line: you don't wanna go to the examination by 31st of march, you lose those money(740$) and in order to take the exam you will have to pay again the fee examination.

Simply non the fees.U may accept to do all the paperwork once again !!

are yous sure about the paperwork??I dont think you need to practice it once more!

You don't have to do the paper piece of work once again....once u get an usmle id ur all documents are with them till 5 yrs(is it v yrs or 7 yrs i dont know),ya u may loose ur money,but its improve to pay 740$ again,than to get a bad score & terminate up with no residency position at all.....this was just a proffer.

y'all don't demand to do any paperwork again, only need to pay for the extention fee( eligibility flow) next 3 consecutive months, i think it's only 50$.

My proper noun is Shweta.I have mentioned in the previous post that i of my friends did the same.She was unable to give the examination even afterward extending her period,so she reapplied.But the second time when she was reapplying she didnt send whatever documents.Merely ofcourse this was i yr back,dont know most any contempo changes.You tin send an email to ecfmg & find out.

I was in the same state of affairs and re-paid the fee. You don't have to re-do the paperwork, only the online application.

No, it will not continue as an attempt, but if y'all want to have the exam over again in the future, you will take to pay for it again considering there is no reimbursement once yous skip the test date that registered for. I hope that answered your question!

Hi GUYS .. i am on the same boat. delight exercise y'all know how long information technology would have to be able to do the online reapplication for a new eligibility period?? when the closest possible engagement that nosotros allowed to take the test subsequently skipping an already extended period?? for some one who have all the papers ready and valid (no need to contact the school).

notation: regarding those who are request about redoing the paper works :
1.for already graduated applicant(commonly IMG) = no demand to redo the paper works, there paper works will remain active and verified once accepted past ecfmg in the first time for v years.
ii.for studnets : normally need to redo there newspaper works; need school contact to make sure that the student is however attending a medical school .
